While others have said this product does not work well for long, I have had this product for several weeks and have not had any issues with it. I will warn consumers, however, that this replacement cord is CONSIDERABLY shorter than the orginal power supply I was using, so I have had to adjust the area I use this in to adapt to the shorter length. Otherwise, product works as described.

This was a great price and works just like the original. I had to cut and tape the old power jack for months because I didn’t want to pay $60 plus for a replacement cord from Dell. I found this one and its perfect and less than half of what Dell wanted. Plus it arrived FAST!

This charger would not even charge or allow the laptop to turn on. Cheap knock off not worth the money I tried to save but wasted.

I haven’t had this adapter for very long yet, so I can’t really comment on any matters of durability. However, I have to point out that you shouldn’t expect anything remotely similar to the picture, and you shouldn’t plan on moving more than five feet away from your outlet. This thing is quite noticeably shorter than the stock part from Dell.

This ad is misleading from the get go. This is, quite simply, NOT a Dell product, yet the ad clearly reads “Dell” at the start. That is not true and it makes a huge difference. Knock-off items such as power adapters and batteries are rarely ever as good as the “real brand” such as Dell, HP, Canon, Nikon. And, there’s a reason why the real ones cost more…they work.
Amazon should insist that this ad be re-worded to reflect the true nature of the product. It’s nothing more than a compatible adapter and is clearly NOT a Dell product.
