It’s just a fabric with some holes on the corners to tie it up…but it’s much better than your typical patio umbrella.
Just remember that the shadow it casts isn’t that big so if you need lots of constant shadow, go bigger!

The Coolaroo shade cloths are really well made and worth their price, but do look around since they sell for a wide range of prices. (And keep shipping in mind as well.) These make excellent backyard and camping shades. Small enough to take with you but large enough to make a nice little shaded reading area on the back porch.

This party sail is as advertised. It is very sturdy and I imagine it will last for many years. I just wanted to mention that this sail is bright orange, similar to “safety orange”, the color that traffic cones are. I was *kinda* hoping it wouldn’t be so bright because I’m using it as permanent shade in my backyard. I have to say that being under it is very nice because of the soft orange glow. And the fact it’s guaranteed for 3 years against fading means it won’t be dulling down for a long time. As a previous reviewer said, check prices because they vary quite a bit.
