We bought this as an alternative to buying an expensive ($3000-4000) retractable awning over our patio and to block the south sun. We have a weird space, a very low roof, where we come out onto the patio, and this was just the ticket. It was easy to put up, took about 10 minutes. And the hardware seems quite stout. It has already made our house more comfortable (keeping that side of the house cooler inside) and should reduce our electricity bills.

We had been looking for a sail-type sunshade for our patio and I didn’t want to have one custom made ($$$). The triangular Coolaroo shade was within a foot or two of the right dimensions for us and we made up the difference with short lengths of chain. It looks great and seems very durable. I was especially appreciative of the two turnbuckles and three mounting hooks, high quality. It was a complete set-up, ready to mount and I had it up within 45 minutes. I would recommend this product.
